Hey gang,

I moved the blog to

Since I was not sure how long I would do this I did not want to pay anything. Plus it is easier to post videos that I did not make myself to the blog. Please check it out. I am still posting videos from class, but others that I really like from the net and from other members.

Sorry for no post

Hey Gang,

Sorry for not posting anything for awhile. My computer went dead so after finally installing a new Hard drive in my desktop my internet went out. I aslo broke down and got a new mac laptop so I can leave my house and work on videos but now the file type that my camera uses is not Mac I am still working on it and as soon as I get everything ironed out I will be probably moving this to my own webpage. So be patient and I will start posting more soon. Scott

Hey Gang,

I have actually already posted this video on my myspace page but wanted to share this here. This is a short demo we did teaming up with the Hapkido club from Iowa State University. Master Yong Chin Pak's home club that we are associated with.

First one up is Lance Rewerts from the Ames club doing a variety of throws. Second is Master Brian Hayes (teacher at the University of Iowa). Then lastly it is myself doing some bear hugs from behind defenses.

This video was taken about 5 years ago (maybe more) at a TKD tournament being held in Beyer hall in Ames.

Until next time,,

Hey Gang,

Here is the Green belt portion of the testing from December. I still have the blue belts and brown belts to go. Classes have finally started again since the Holiday break. And we will be having a Demo for new classes on Thursday the 18th at the Fieldhouse. I will hopefully will be able to post highlights from the Demo. The music in this episode is by the Drunken Tigers a Korean rap group. I lost the song title when I downloaded it a few years ago. But if you want to see more of them you can enter Drunken tigers on youtube to see some videos.

Trip to Japan December 2006

Hey Everybody,

I am currently in Japan on a short winter vacation. I am staying with my friend who serves in the Navy at the Atsugi airbase. I am unable to upload video from his computer to my podcast site but I was able to upload to Myspace. Here is a link of some video I have taken while I am here. I am staying Zama for most of the time. I spent Friday night in Shibuya not far from the train station. I had dinner with a freind I met thru myspace then went around and checked out the sites on Center Gai. Saturday my friend I am staying with and one of his friends came along and we went to Takanawa in Minato-Ku to see the Senegakuji Temple of the 47 Ronin stories. The 47 Ronin story is back in the days of Samurai during a war one of the warlords was killed so all of his Samurai became Ronin (masterless Samurai). So the 47 Ronin travel to the gates of this temple and committed suicide to avenge their slain master. Respect is still given to the temple every year for the warlords and the loyalty shown.

After going to the temple we headed over to Harajuku for some soviener shopping and coffee. My friend and his friend took off to go back home and me and another friend walked to Roppongi to the TOHO theaters to see the new James Bond movie "Casino Royale" the theater itself was amazing due to the size and sound. Afterwards I was taken back to the Shinjuku station to catch the last train back to Zama to call it an evening. It's Sunday now and we are just taking it easy. I have a few more days left and will post more later.

For some reason the link does not show in my post please check out the comments section for the link to the video. Thank you

So I have decided to put together a very basic podcast for the Iowa Hapkido club. Nothing fancy, long, or advance. I will be adding clips from classes and special events like Testings and Demos.

I will also be adding some personnel travel entries on my trips to Japan, New York, and Chicago.

In this first episode are the white belts during their test on the 7th. It is not the entire test and I apologize if I did not get everybody in frame. But like I said I am keeping this very basic.

Please feel free to add your comments on this site or you can contact me at or at my myspace page at

Plus if you have any footage you would like to contribute please feel free to contact me.

Thanks allot,
